just said id mention this but the time here is 16.41 on 6 dec but the time shown at the bottom of the page of the server is Current Time: Sat Dec 6 12:43:53 GMT 2003 which is out by roughly four hours - it's not even an exact number of hours ( also notice the minutes shown 43 is ahead of the actual minutes in case you think i took ages to write the post ) -- also if im not mistaken it was about 2 hours 50 minutes when i checked it yesterday -- it's been fine up to lately, beginning this strange behaviour during the last 4 or so days -- i have the timezone set correctly to GMT in profile ( just checked )

maybe it's something simple at my end - however the time on the forum on my own site is correct

Current time is generated based on GMT hence the difference.

sorry maybe i didnt make myself clear -- the time that shows up on the forum when i view it is totaly meaningless -- it's not GMT anyway
it seems to be showing GMT -3:56 or something ???

have checked it out quite a bit b4 posting this

Correction it's not GMT as the timezone should suggest. It is current time (including the timezone) as determined by the server.

The problem was that the server's time was not set correctly.
