notice that fud wont copy pmsg.tmpl when I rebuild theme, realy frustrating, I have check chown and chmod.

I have changed som in pmsg.tmpl (gif to png convert) but when I run rebuild theme it does not update pmsg.php, have tried to remove pmsg.php but then it does not even create, have checked ownership and those

The only way this could've happened is if you changed the permissions on the file in such a way that the forum could not access it.

Are you use darkpenguin theme is used and not default/ ?

I have used default as template, as last time, so all default changed goes through.

hmm...

I looked at the ls output and from what I can tell pmsg.tmpl is dated 2003-12-07 14:40 like all of the other files inside that directory. It seems to me that if you made alterations to that file the date would be different...

in www-root it just like this, no new pmsg.php

Could you please add --color=no to your ls command so that your output dumps do not contain ASCII color metadata.

In the directory you've shown me I do not see pmsg.php file at all...

It was because it won't update, so I fast and ugly removed pmsg.php to see if it would do it, but it didn't. I was frustated Smile

If the file is not being rebuilt it means that for some reason the theme compiler cannot find pmsg.tmpl, which it needs to allow it to compile the pmsg.php file.

Does pmsg.tmpl exist and is readable inside the default/ directory?

it does not make sense, why should "default" decide what files I have in other themes? it isn't default, darkpenguin is.

If the primary template is missing in the default theme the file will not be compiled.

yes, it worked by copying the file to default, wonder why it wasnt there, I havn't been in default, I had just upgraded to RC10
