Hi!

I would like to install version 2.5.2 of FUDforum via CVS. I know how to install the newest version via CVS but how do I do in order to install an older version? I've done the following:

cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous(at)asuka(dot)prohost(dot)org:/forum21 checkout -D 7/31/03 fud21_install

This fetched a version from 7/31/03, which is the date v2.5.2 was released. But I'm not sure this actually is v2.5.2? Is there a command line option or something so I specifically can specify the correct release?

Kind Regards!
/Martin

instead of going by date, you can specify the release tag, which will get you the correct version

-r fud2_5_2

Hi!

Thanks Ilia! But unfortunately I still got some problems.

I fetched v2.5.2 with the following command:

cvs -z3 -d :pserver:anonymous(at)asuka(dot)prohost(dot)org:/forum21 checkout -r fud2_5_2 fud21_install

Then I generated the install script:

php -q create_file_list install >> install.php

So far so good. The problem occured when I accessed install.php from my browser. I get the following error:

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '' (ASCII=6) state=1 in /usr/local/webhotell/webaccounts/fudtest/tmp/fud2_5_2/fud21_install/install.php on line 33125

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ')' in /usr/local/webhotell/webaccounts/fudtest/tmp/fud2_5_2/fud21_install/install.php on line 33125

What could be the problem? I checked the created install.php on that line and I found nothing of interest there:
