According to Wikipedia, BBcode (or Bulletin Board Code) is a lightweight markup language used to format posts in many message boards.

FUDforum calls its implementation FUDcode. Most users that is familiar with forums will know what BBcode is and recognise it immediately. However, FUDcode is somewhat odd and users may not immediately know what it is.

I suggest we join the "many message boards" and rename FUDcode to BBcode. What do you guys think?

If the tags are the same, call it what it is. Make sure the reference at the bottom of the wiki notes the name change to bbcode for the appropriate version. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bbcode

What was the initial reason for calling it FUDcode.
