EDIT: I found out. They are stored as files.

Hello,

I try to restore a fudforum but have only a backup of the mysql database. When I make fud use it, I get the settings, cats, forums and threads back, even links to non-existing attachments, but I do not get any messages.

index.php?t=getfile&id=5722&private=0

Are messages not saved inside the db? Or is there some mistake?..

Thanks

By default, messages are stored in files. However, there is an option (Global Setttings Manager) to store them in the DB. The FAQ has more info about this, if you are interested.
