My MySQL database server defaults to creating MyISAM tables. This doesn't work well for a very busy forum for all the table locks. Does anyone know if fud will work properly if I convert all the tables to InnoDB?

I Googled it up and couldn't find anything interesting about this.

Thanks

I've converted my forum's 'fud30_ses' table to InnoDB and it works quite well. This is documented in the Performance tuning guide.

Indeed, I already had converted my _ses table to InnoDB... I'm just wondering if there are any adverse effects to converting all the others (or, at the least, the ones that are always causing table locks).

Great, thanks for your help!

Would you know if support for MySQL database slaves is planned?

Currently, no. However, if we get a patch, it will definitely be added.

PS: It should be easy to implement. Here's an example implementation: http://bakery.cakephp.org/articles/view/master-slave-support-also-with-mult iple-slave-support
