im getting odd behavior, replies are VERY slow on topics with multiple pages..

the topic in reference has 6 pages of info, and when you click reply it takes a good 15-30 seconds to reply..

when replying to a new or small topic the reply is nearly instant.

any ideas?

Are you using FUDforum 3.0.0? What DB? If you run MySQL you can configure it to log slow queries to see if anything jumps out.

Edit: Also check if your forum is configured to use temp tables (Global Settings).

Sendmail can be painfully slow on some systems - and sending many notifications will obviously make it worse. Anyway, I'm glad the problem is resolved.
