Before I install FUD I would like to clarify the "paths" issue.

My "Hosted" Server Root directory is, I think, mydomain/user/public_html

(1) Would the Server Root directory syntax be acceptable as something like /mydomain/user/public_html/fudforum ?

(2) Would the Forum Data Root directory be okay as..
/mydomain/user/public_html/fudforum/datafiles ?

Or would the syntax need to be similar to the example given of..

/home/user/public_html/forum/

In other words is the "home" directory interchangeable with one's (hosted) domain name ?

Regards, John.

(1) would be OK, but /mydomain/user/public_html/forum (without the "fud") might be better.

(2) will work, but will be more secure if you can make it something like /mydomain/user/private_data/fudforum (outside of the public_html directory).

That is exactly the type of answer I was looking for. Very much appreciated. Thank you. Smile
