The post processing error checking is failing when a message
is received that causes the system to allocate more memory than
is it is configured to use in the php.ini.

This is very bad programming pratice. It just falls over
when you give it something too large to handle. It just
goes to a blank screen with no feedback.

I have found the other messages about upping the memory_limit
in the php.ini file but come on. Can't this be handled better?

Good question! If you find a way, please do let us know.

PS: just upgrading your PHP will take the default memory allocation from "8M" before PHP 5.2.0, to "16M" in PHP 5.2.0 and "128M" in PHP 5.3.0.
