I have forums set up and they are working well, new members get their first few posts moderated and then we don't check, however we have a few users who don't always play nice and I would like to set a flag to always have there posts moderated while letting the rest post without moderation.
In other forum software i use I can set different user groups where some can post without moderation and other users cannot.
Is there a way to do this?

I do not think this is possible. It is however, a pretty good idea! - FUDforum is not as centered upon user moderation and community member control as many of the other forum softwares, the strongpoints of FUDforum lies elsewhere, but that does not mean we can't work to catch up!
An addition of a "moderated" switch in the groups mmanager sounds like a good idea!
