I noticed after registering on the Wiki that I have no edit rights (Or at least i can't figure out how to do so)

Can I have some clarification on what the policy is?

1. Can users contribute to the docs in true "wiki" style?
2. If not, due to spam etc, why allow account creation?

Thanks

You should be able to edit if you've verified your e-mail address.

Anyway, I've promoted you to admin. That should help...

When I look at a page, I see...

You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reason:

The action you have requested is limited to users in the group: emailconfirmed.

When I registered, I got put into autoconfirmed and didn't get asked to do anything further.

I've made a couple of changes to the wiki's settings. Please let me know if it helps.

I can now see that there is a bit about confirming email address in the prefs (must have been there all the time).

I can confirm one thing ... the email confirmation request is NOT getting sent.

Can you try registering an account and seeing if you receive the email?

OK, I can edit but note that the confirmation email doesn't appear to have ever been sent or to put it more accurately, doesn't make it to my gmail account. Maybe gmail is blocking it upstream although I note the forum subscription notices are received but then, that is from a different domain.

Basically, I still can't confirm the email address no matter how many times I click the link.

Last one, I think, limited file uploads should be allowed (gif, png, jpeg maybe) for screenshots.

Looks like file uploads are already enabled.

PS: I've got my confirmation mail from the wiki Smile

Strange on the emails! I must have tried it 20 times or so. I'll leave that at that.

I can see the file upload link now that I looked properly.

That looks all too familiar.
Last time I've got that error I had to manually create the directories on the server.

EDIT: Please retry or mail the file to me to upload.

Thanks.

I have more than one potentially.
I think I'll just go text only.
