There is a way to add horizontal scrollbars to a message using CSS, but I never could get it to work right(using percentages instead of pixels or other fixed units) with MSIE.

Here's an example. Works in Mozilla 1.4. I can't test it with MSIE right now since I can't use it.

No this is not possible.

P.S. The URL example works in Mozilla but it does not work in any other browser that I've tried (IE6, Konqueror, Opera 6.0).

I have a site, that need the original full-size pictures, often 2000x wide or more. My suggestion if there could be a function that know the picture with, and if it is large, the display-size could be reduced with a very simple HTML code.

So I want the picture to display in partial resolution; selecting "show picture" (in browser, not forum) will display the full picture. It doesn't matter if the hi-res picture is actually transferred to the browser from the forum; I want to keep the forum style consistent.

The preferred solution would be to enter the screen width in pixels in the user-setup area, so we all can have a different values.
I do not want a scroll-bar for the picture!

Example picture: Too large for forum, it is 900kB !

You can control the max image width with standard CSS.
Look at http://fudforum.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=159503&
This is also documented on the wiki at BBcode.

It is fantastic. Thank you.
But I use "950", as this match the site better.
