I'm running 3.0.2 and when I have Display IP Publicly: set to "no," all users, including anonymous ones, can see the hostname that the person posted from. I have tried setting the admin panel Display IP Publicly: to "yes" and "no" and there is no change. I don't see any errors in the logs. Any thoughts?

I also checked the changelog for 3.0.3 and don't see anything that looks like this issue was fixed there.

Try to rebuild your themes. The setting may be "cached" in the forum's 'themes/' directory.

I've rebuilt the themes and this made no difference. Any other ideas?

I don't see anything wrong. Are you maybe logged in as an admin? Can you see it if you are logged in as a normal user?

I can see the ip and hostname whether logged in as admin, normal user or anonymous. It displays at all times regardless of the setting in the admin panel.

I've upgraded the version several times over the years, so maybe some schema changes didn't get made along the way?

I cannot reproduce it on a fresh 3.0.3 install.
Can you give me access to your forum to troubleshoot it?
