in the forum? iow, if the moderator is answering a comment from a member, why can he not also send the message to other mods or the Administrator/owner at the same time?

to maintain coordination if handling a standing problem, many reasons. how are you Illia? actually, if we could just address the private email or PM to the individual and do a Cc to a class or group which might be the mods, it would help.
On a forum BB which I am now playing with, I have been asked to deal with a problem child and to let the "webmaster" know how I am resolving it and the results. to do this, I have to cut to the clipboard and then PM to the webmaster.

plain old fact of life. until one loads an instance of the software and plays with it - he is not going to understand the fine details of its working. thus, I did not know that the buddy list accepted aliases.
