We have change our header Icon to a 800pt long img.

when the browser window is less than ~800pt wide, the header search box "Folds" under the new image and looks a mess.

How do you fix the header templates so that as you reduce the width of the browser window, the height of the header bar doesn't alter.

I see there is a "align="left"" command for the header image, but in the default.css there is a "Float=right" command for the search bar.

Alternatively, How do i remove the search bar from the header?

You can edit header.tmpl and recompile your themes.

I encounter the same problem. I do not understand how to do this "You can edit header.tmpl and recompile your themes.". Please, explain in details.
