Hi Scott,

I just started working with FUD Forum on my website ... and I have the same problem as you!

I also noticed two other things which I don't know how to correct/change/modify:
1)The large smiley that appears with I post something as an administrator.
2)And there is something else that is wrong (an issue or do I have something set incorrectly ?):
When I used the Register feature (for becoming a Registered User), it went through ok, including
receiving an email in my personal email box referring to confirming my email address, but when I
log in, no matter where I go on the Forum, I have to log in again before I can proceed as a Registered
User. And this happens with EVERY move I make on the Forum.

I like FUD Forum Software in many respects, but these things I mentioned above are definitely issues/problems
that have to be overcome otherwise I will use some other forum software.

1) That large smiley is your avatar Smile You can change/ remove it from "Control Panel" -> "Account settings".

2) My guess is that your cookie settings are wrong. Fix them in the Global Settings Manager.

Dave,

I still haven't figured out how to remove the ranking tag from my admin account - but still looking into it.

Regarding your problem of having to log in twice before it actually shows you as logged in - YES, I had that problem too. I think it is somehow related to how my web browser(s) handle cookies. I solved the problem by experimenting with the following settings (found in Administration > Global Settings Manager > Cookie & Session):

Enable URL Sessions = Yes
Use Session Cookies = No
Session Referrer Check = No
Session IP Validation = No
Multiple Host Login = No

The settings shown above solved the problem for me. Try starting with these settings, and if it doesn't solve your problem, experiment with various yes/no settings. If that still doesn't solve your problem, I can't offer any other advice, as I'm still pretty much a newbie at this.

About the smiley that is shown with your posts - I don't know the answer to that. Is it a default avatar that is used for your admin account? Maybe just poke around in the Administration settings to see if there's anything in there that's adding the smiley.

Hi!
Thank you! Yes you are correct. I changed the cookie settings - so the forum is working correctly now.
As for the large Smiley, I figured it out just before getting back to the forum here.

However there is one additional thing about the FUD Form I would like to change ... and that is the "Agree/Disagree" sign up
area for Visitors signing up for the first time.
I would like to change some of that Policy which appears there, primarily that apart about persons under 13 years of age.
Can this be changed?

Dave

Hi Scott,
Thanks for replying. I got it - thanks for the help.
But there still is that mutual problem we are experiencing: How to get rid of that Admin (Junior Membership classification).
That really has be stumped; and providing such a classification for an Administrator is silly.
