Hi all,

I am in the process of evaluating this forum software for use for my company's forum.

One of the required abilities is that I need to be able to have certain categories (and the forums associated with them) to be viewable only to certain users that are logged in.

e.g.

Category : Sales
forums:FAQ, Release Issues, etc.

Then I need to be able to identify a subset of all registered users as a group (I know that Group has another meaning in the FUDforum software) called "Sales People" and then make the Category Sales viewable only to the users defined as belonging to the group "Sales People".

I cannot figure out how to do this. Is it possible? If so, can some one give me the basic steps required to do so?

The reality of the situation is that we want customer to see the customer forums, but not (for obvious reasons) the sales-related forums.

SMB

If this is >1 forum then create a new group to control access rights to that forum. Remove all access from regular anonymous & registered users and only add users (with appropriate) access to that group. If you are talking about a single forum, then just remove access and then grant it to the users you want.
