My hosting service provider (aruba.it) does not allow users to do "LOCK TABLES ... WRITE". I did pray them, with no success. Is there a workaround to use FUDForum WITHOUT those permissions ?
Thanks in advance !

FUDforum cannot work without being able to do locks, because data integrity cannot be guaranteed.

My hosting provider has also disabled the mysql LOCK feature.
Therefore, I'm not able to install FUD on my web site !
But I'm wondering how do the other bulletin boards (as phpBB) to work withoout this feature !

It is not a policy simply the result of a bug in MySQL 4.0 permissions conversion that "forgets" to restore the lock permission.
