development environment is not to te same release as your installed
running PHP is.
I've has similar when compiling on Linux when I have upgraded the core
runtime code, but not the development environment. More in my case GTK
libraries than PHP, but the principle is the same.
BUT its a LONG time since I compiled anything on a MAC...and beyond the
PDF libraries I have never compiled anything for PHP..
