Both forms works, but not both forms are the same:


$retVal = @$this->lastfetch[$ndx];
(....errors ignored....)

@$retVal = $this->lastfetch[$ndx];
(.........Errors ignored.........)


Perhaps in some cases "$retVal" could throw a type casting error or
something of this kind.
