maillist.php broken? [message #18585]

I set up fudforum as part of egw.

I managed to get the maillist.php stop cribbing about missing files by providing symbolic links to them -- however, it still does not work... the email messages dont show up on the forum.

Command line execution
cat mesg | php -q /path/2/maillist.php
just outputs 2 blank lines.

Is this a known bug? Is maillist.php broken?

Please advise.
