Its been reported in other posts, but seems still to be there:

Having an ' in user name OR in the search database seems to make problems,

Zitat:

ERROR: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's' LIMIT 1' at line 1
QUERY: DELETE FROM bb_search WHERE word='war's' LIMIT 1

Also I got a number of "Duplicate entry 'xxx' in key 2" errors.

Zitat:

ERROR: Duplicate entry 'groÃŸe' for key 2
QUERY: ALTER TABLE bb_search CONVERT TO CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_unicode_ci

Always German characters here (groÃŸe = große), and none (!) of these real duplicates

Removing "unique" from the index in search database solved the problem, but took its time to look for it ...

I trust it won't be necessary to make a new release available. Users that want to upgrade from very old releases will have to apply the fix themselves (for now at least).

And with that winning bit of support I think it's time to convert to SMF after... what... oh we have been running it since at least 2003 at Tapestries.

Oh well.
