I'm trying for the first time to make my own theme with the FUDforum software, but I cannot seem to change the images.

I replace the header.gif with something else that's a different size, and got to my admin panel and click "rebuild" for my theme, and it all goes back to default... I'm not sure what's causing my image to not show up on my forum. Any help would be lovely!
