Make sure that you've uploaded install.php as BINARY not ASCII.

upload the install.php into the directory where you want the forum installed.

which directory is that file in. I tried looking in the "theme" directory but it FTPPro gave me a "550 /httpdocs/forums/theme: Permission denied" message
Also, i tried to view the directories and there doesnt seem to be any files in the directories. Just the root. Odd
