I'm an end user of FUDForum, not an administrator, so if this is a configuration setting, I apologize, but it doesn't seem like it would be...

FUDforum doesn't seem to escape entities like ampersands in forum titles when sending an RDF/XML feed. Example:

http://marsh.prosoundweb.com/rdf.php?mode=m&th=1890&basic=1

This feed doesn't validate because of that (and because of an incorrect language setting, but that I assume is a server setting.)

You need to upgrade your rdf script, the new version has the proper escaping code.

Hi Jay,

Just stumbled on your post whilst looking for some more info on utilizing RDF/XML feeds and saw that you were pulling the PSW MARSH forum. I've corrected the code for the title, changing the ampersand to the html special character & amp ; (no spaces), then tested the RDF/XML link and it worked. Since I hadn't previously been looking into this feature, I had not noticed the problem!

Now I'm off to garner some info on just how to use rdf feeds from the forums, having never done this before. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to send them to me at ernie(at)prosoundweb(dot)com.

Do you have the "correction" patch, I'll gladly add it to standard distro if it's valid.

Good question; I don't know. Dave has been the one who has been doing our upgrades as you probably know. My concern is learning how to utilize the rdf/xml output, since the forums are properly generating that output. I've on vacation for a few days, but plan to look into this further next week. Thanks!
