I don't see a way to hide or easily delete the reference to the current time box and the upload speed text in 2.6.6

The former you can disable in the Admin CP:

Admin CP -> Global Settings Manager -> Public Stats
(Enable/disable the showing of how long it took the generate the page and how many SQL queries were run in the process.)

The latter you can disable by erasing the template code from the curtime.tmpl file:

Admin CP -> Template Editor -> default template -> curtime.tmpl -> curtime

Delete everything in the edit box on the right hand side, save the changes, rebuild the theme with

AdminCP -> Theme Manager -> Rebuild Theme

...and you're set. =)

Thanks, but I don't see a the curtime.tmpl anywhere. I see a reference to in in forum.ccs.tmpl but that appears just to be for the border formatting. Is that curtime.tmpl from an older version?

I found it the theme I set as default not the theme/default.

curtime is a special template that is not normally editable via the web template editor.

Becase curtime.tmpl does not generate a page, but rather is an internal template that is used by other templates.

In retrospect it is not really good reason, so this will probably be changed by the time next release is made.
