Not sure which forum to ask this in, so I thought I would try here..

I've recieved a number of bounced messages from individual users mainly because the forum is sending mail out as "apache(at)prvt(dot)net" (which is my internal DNS domain), and their mail server believes it to be spam because "prvt.net" is not resolvable (and it shouldn't be).

I was wondering where I could hard-code the sender such that it is valid?

Thanks!

Just to clarify, I just wonder if there is some place to hardcode it within the PHP code..

Either that, or perhaps SMTP Auth might do the trick...

When the forum sends an e-mail , it sets the From: header as $NOTIFY_FROM, which you can specify in the admin control panel.

Just thought I would follow through on this one (ages later)..

The problem was in my implementation of the server's internal network. It was setting the sender at the internal non-routable domain.

This was corrected by going back and re-doing DNS to have internal and external views, which ultimately solved the overall problem by eliminating the internal non-routable domain name.

Thanks for the help!
