Hi,

I've run into a recurring problem with 2.6.8...

When changing configuration options through the admin control panel the dbhost_password is regularly changed back to a default value. I think this appears to associated with any change that effects FUD_OPT masks (not confirmed though).

A second change to a configuration option will then cause 2.6.8 to fail with a sql_login error (due to an invalid dbhost_password).

To workaround this; as I'm running through a configuration of 2.6.8 I'm making changes via admin control panel and then correcting dbhost_password in GLOBALS.php manually... !

The change is likely due to your browser remembering the password value and restoring it when the form is loaded.

sounds possible (even likely) but I can't seem to avoid the problem...

fortunately I don't need to make changes that affect globals.php that often...

You can make the browser not "cache" those values or remove the cached values before making password change.
