I'm sorry, I have the same problem with version 1.2.8.

My user tony has a set moderation flag for forum test and his name appears at the starting-page (Home) in the Moderator(s)-column.

If I delete the user tony from my forum, he appears anyway.
Then, if I click on his name I get an error-message:
ERROR: No such user
There is no such user.
