Hi dear developers!
When a user changes his theme language into, say, Deitch - all notifications about new messages posted by him are also in Deitch! This is somehow weird, because MY theme language is Russian and I am supposed to get Russian notifications Smile Maybe I can't read Deitch.

Could you explain why it is designed in such a way. Thanx.

This forum for examples sake has several different themes based on different languages. When notifications are sent they are based on the theme of the message author. If the author happens to be using the Russian theme, that is the language your notification will be sent in.

That's the way it works. But wouldn't it be more useful when they are sent based on the theme of the message recipient. It could then be not one, but several messages grouped by language (in Cc: field).

It is not recommended to run multi-lingual forum where you have users from different languages intersect. This is one of the reasons why.

Telling honestly, didn't catch the idea why. Sad Sorry for taking your time, it's perhaps very difficult to implement...

Well, the reason is not so much code difficulty but performance. Since each language is a different theme, to send an e-mail in "proper" language the forum would actually need to go through 1 template per-email, which would be quite slow.

Probably, taking a query on recepient's language from a database would help groupping it, and it will be very nice to have an option to choose this behavior or an original one. Not all forums are under such a heavy load...
