Is it possible to make forums readable (including post/reply) ONLY by registered users and not by the general public (unregistered guests)?

OK, I found it. In the Groups Manager, a little more than halfway down, there's a place where it says:

The permissions shown below ONLY control the permissions group leaders will be able to change for the group's they manage. To change the user permissions please use the user-land group manager.

The "user-land group manager" is a link (found only here and not in the column on the left). Click on that and go to the bottom of that page. This is where you can set permissions for registered members as well as "anonymous", which would be the general public.
The forum icons disappear when not logged in, but otherwise this works just fine.
