I seem to have a working FUD setup and (despite permissions) can send mail to and from a Mailman mailing list.
In messages sent from FUD to my mailling list line breaks appear as <br />. Clearly I don't want that, especially in my plain text only emails.
Here's an example of what I mean.

Yes I agree, it looks good on the forum and in email<br />

Clearly I need all the HTML stripped out before FUD sends the message to my mailing list. Is there some thing I'm doing or not doing to solve this?
Many thanks

I want to add a bit about this in case you don't see it with your setup.
If I allow FUD ML tag style code in posts from the forum when they get to my email I have line breaks showing as <br /> - see above message.
I can solve this by changing the forum settings to allow HTML tag stlye in posts. The emails then look fine. However it makes entering replies form the forum difficult as the user is now expected to understand HTML tags. That's not an option for me!
Lastly in the forum settings I can have tag style "none". This gets me email looking like this;

All I want is plain text email!
