I get these error messages when trying to install Step one of FUD Forum:
Warning: Use of undefined constant PHP_SAPI - assumed 'PHP_SAPI' in /nfs/cust/3/16/06/560613/web/forum/install.php on line 63

Warning: Undefined variable: _POST in /nfs/cust/3/16/06/560613/web/forum/install.php on line 234

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: version_compare() in /nfs/cust/3/16/06/560613/web/forum/install.php on line 236

Can anyone give me an idea of what's wrong?
I've tried several different versions of the forum, including the very first one. That one at least let me get into the step to identify my pathnames for the data and www root folder etc., but would not go past there even after I did chmod to 777.
THanks,
Rob

What version of PHP are you running? Would to be possible to see the output of phpinfo() ?

PHP version is still 4.0.6
Sorry, but I don't know how to do a phpinfo - I don't have a shell access, only ftp.
THanks for the quick response!

You need PHP 4.3.0+ for FUDforum.

What about using an earlier version of FUDforum until the PHP gets upgraded?

You'd need to try something pretty old like 2.2 - 2.3 circa

It was 2.1.0 that gave me the error messages above. Guess I am out of luck until the PHP gets updated...
Thanks for all your help!
Great to see excellent customer service!
