It would be nice if one could skip pages of topics ahead when using the Merge Topic Control Panel, just as one can skip pages ahead at the bottom of any page of topics in any forum.
and/or:
If you skip pages of topics ahead, the page you're on would come up when you click on "Merge Topics". That is, if you've skipped ahead to page 27, then hit "Merge Topics" at the top, the page 27 topics would come up in the Merge Topic Control Panel instead of getting page 1 topics and having to click on "Next Topics" 26 times. Imagine finding topics needing to be merged on page 387.

Cannot be done reliably, since if that topic was the only topic on the page, the page may no longer exist.

Seems like that would be an extremely rare case. This is no big deal, though. All I have to do is use the drop-down list on the "Back" button of my browser to return to the page I'd left.
