1.9.9-RC1 is out, as usual many changes, all for the better, many of your suggestions were listened to. Grab it from the download page or CVS and report bugs :)

Here is a quick run down of the stuff I recall (for more details use the cvs log):

  • Major updates to the polish translation (entire FAQ is translated! updated buttons)

  • Major updates to the installer, better support for safe mode
(on which prottoss started a discussion on php-dev to have it removed, join php-dev, or via news at news.php.net group php-dev and help us in our mission to get it out of php once and for good)

  • Many fixes and cleanups in the group system (should make it a bit easier to deal with groups and avoid cascade effects :P )

  • New smiley options, which allow to arrange smiley view order and limit how many of them are visible on the post form toolbar, in addition a nice popup toolbar to list all smilies.

  • Added subscript and superscript FUDcode tags (sub) and (sup) respectively.

  • As usual a whole load of bug fixes that are regularly reported by you guys, keep 'em going and we'll whack 'em :)

Again, you can get it from the download page @
http://fud.prohost.org/download.php

Or from CVS via
cvs -z9 -d :pserver:anonymous(at)asuka(dot)prohost(dot)org:/forum2 checkout -rfud-1_9_9-RC1 .

P.S. Completely new and much cooler smilies which were submitted Ecxeleron and are also in 1.9.9-RC1 :)
