Perhaps this might be a suggestion for future versions of the software. Since IDs created by the forum when people post via the mailing list(s) don't even have passwords, any Private Messages sent to those IDs will never be read.

Are Private Messages stored indefinitely if they're never read? Or, are they automatically purged after a period of time?
