I'm trying to edit the Logout button along the top of the forum so it logs you out, and then redirects away from the forum. I've tried using this as the logout link:
{ROOT}?t=login&{DEF: _rsid}&returnto={ROOT}?t=myredir&logout=1&SQ={GVAR: sq}

And created a myredir.php file that has a redirect header which is placed in theme/default. But the button still just logs you out and doesn't attempt to do any sort of redirection.
Any suggestions or other ways to try this? I'm using version 2.6.13 of the forum.

Thanks,
Mark @ Urban Horizon

The returnto value cannot be passed via GET, it must be submitted via POST.

i've tried putting a form around the logout link so that returnto is passed as a post value, but it still doesn't seem to work.

Your best bet is to simply update the returnto value inside the session table for the user in question.
