i just have some idea to make my own theme based on default theme...

my problem is...
when i edit the default theme index.php and rebuild it... the change are roll back to default...

how to change permanently my own theme? what is rebuild? to recompile?

so? where should i edit the theme? to make permanent change...

You need to edit .tmpl and .t files so that your changes are not lost.
