I've made a few changes in the usercp.tmpl file, which avoid having an horizontal scrolling bar when the top link selections ("Private messaging", "Members"...) takes too much space on the screen, which was happening to me all the time with the 2.6.15 and with the 2.7.2 releases.
These little changes permit to have the top link selections on more than one line if necessary, but each associated icon always stay on the left of the link text.
Here is the patch I've made with the usercp.tmpl file from the 2.7.2 release:
