I created a datadump this morning from my 2.6.13RC1 FUDForum install on my older webserver and copied that file to the new webserver.
I downloaded and installed (from scratch) 2.6.13 and imported the datadump. I ran consistency checker and the only thing I had to manually fix were the avatars.
I then downloaded the upgrade script for 2.7.2 and attempted to run it. It failed. So I had to start completely over (delete all files, re-install and re-import datadump).
Am I better off doing an upgrade to 2.6.15? And then doing the jump to 2.7.2?
Thanks and have a great day!

It looks like it did upgrade, but your custom theme is broken because some absolete templates that the upgrade script was supposed to remove were not removed.
First I'd like to ask you to apply the patch below the upgrade script and re-run it.
http://cvs.prohost.org/c/index.cgi/FUDforum/chngview?cn=7372
This should eliminate the PHP error messages you are seeing.
If the files are stll not being removed and theme fails to build add some debug code on line #1562 and 1568 to have it print the path of the file it is trying to remove.
