Good morning.

I have set up a test site with several test users to familiarize myself with FUDForum.

(BTW, this is a truly wonderful message board script! I kick myself for not having gotten familiar with it much sooner.)

Anyway, my question is:

Within his User CP (control panel) a user has ticked "Ignore Administrative Messages".

Admin wants to send a bulk email to all members.

Next to the "send" button he ticks "Ignore User Override".

Shouldn't this override the user's "Ignore Administrative Messages"?

i.e. Even that user who ticked "Ignore Adminstrative Messages" should get the email. Correct?

In my tests, that user is not getting overriden. He is not receiving the mass email.

Is there something else that Admin must do to override the user's preferences?

Thanks for any asssistance on this! Smile

This is a bug, which I've just fixed in CVS.
Here is the patch

Thanks for that.

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but I'm not very technical-minded: Is this "fix" now included in all new installations of FUDForum? Or do I need to install this fix AFTER installing the standard message board script?

Thank you for any advice and help.

I'd suggest waiting till the next release then, shouldn't be a very long wait 1-1.5 weeks.
