Greetings.

I would like to ask: Is it possible to create different user groups, then add only the users I want into each user group, and then mass/bulk email ONLY the user group I want to email?

For instance, can I have user groups such as:

Melbourne user group

New York user group

Gdansk user group

... and when I have announcements just for those who are in those groups I can mass email only them.

I have checked the FUDForum manual and clicked all the buttons I can think of within my Admin Control Panel, but can't see that this can be done.

Thank you for any assistance with this question. Smile

Yes this is possible, when using admin mass-email control panel you can select a particular group to which and only which to send e-mail to.

Oh, now I see what I was doing wrong!

I had created a new user group called "Loyal Customers" and expected to see it in the drop down list @
ACP ... User management ... Mass Email ... Send Emails to

But it didn't appear.

Why? Because I hadn't added any members to that user group!

It makes sense that it shouldn't appear because otherwise I'd be emailing nobody.

I then added two members to the user group and then it DOES shows up in the drop down list PLUS it says how many members the user group has.

Excellent!

Yes, you need to have at least 1 member in the group for it to show up Smile
