Hello all. I wasn't sure where to post this, so please move it is needs to.

I have a funny thing happen yesterday. A user replied to a thread and it went to the top of the list of threads. Above the Sticky and Annoucment4 threads. Is that supposed to be like that? What can I do from keeping this happening, or what should I look at to fix this problem?

Thank you, and I just love the forum!

Jay D.

Did those sticky/announcement threads already expire by any chance?

No, they were set to not expire. And I even reset them or redid the expiration on them.

I'd need to have access to the forum's database and code to see what went wrong there... If you can provide this information send me a PM.

I has the same problem with the same version.

I have fixed that with a "Forum Consistency" in admin control panel. I hope this could help !

I'm having this same issues with FUDforum version 3.0.4

Even if I "Stick" a post, with no expiry, some new posts show above the sticky.
Anyone else with this problem?

Also, if I "Stick" some old posts, by posting a message like "Post locked to keep sticked", and thel I lock the post and make it sticky, I loose other "Sticked" posts that were on top. They now show somewhere else but not at the top of the threads.

Thanks

I upgraded from 3.0.3 to 3.0.4 and the same thing happened. Forum consistency check didn't help.

Ideas, anyone?

No, I haven't seen it before as it's working here and on my private forums.
What database are you using?

In my case, SQLite.

What database are you using?

MariaDB, which is practically MySQL.

I have replicated the problem on SQLite, and will prepare a fix later.

Not sure about MariaDB though, it should be working as MySQL works just fine.

Hi Frank,

I tried it on my forum (SQlite), but does this only apply to new posts made as "Sticky" Question
Because I edited some old sticky posts, but they still show under new posts Rolling Eyes

Thanks

Replace the file, recompile your themes and run a consistency check to rebuild the thread cache.
