New post automatically goes to the bottom of the page.
Is there a way to set it up so that new post will be on top?

If you create a new forum, you have the possibility to set, whether new messages are stored at the first or at the last position.

I think it is not possible to change this behavior later.

Wrong.

There is no such option at all, the option you're referring to talks about the position of the FORUM in the category. The option allows you to insert the forum you are creating as the 1st or last forum in the category.

I'm sorry, but my RC4 contains that feature! Confused

Just go to:
Category & Forum Management -> Edit Forums
and take a look at the field before the "Add Forum" button.

Insert Position: Last/First

Does that field means something different?

Insert Position: Last/First

Refers to the POSITION OF THE FORUM, not the message it in. Try adding a forum and set the insert position to 1st, you'll see that the new forum is inserted as 1st inside the category.

The manual clearly documents this feature.
