When i run the converter it shows:
Hacking attemptBeginning Conversion Process
Reading phpBB2 config
No Database Selected
There is a DB defined in the config script as well as a DB set up for the forums. any help is appreciated.

As far as i know the phpbb config is working. i have the forum board up and running. and all i get when i try to run the converter is

Does it say on which line this error occures? The conversion script does not actually output such an error message itself.

Well, in PHP there are 2 settings: error_log and log_errors. If the latter is set to 1 or On, then any PHP errors will be logged to a file identified by error_log ini setting. So you need to enable those settings if they were not already and then check the error log file for any error messages.
