Trying to install fudforum for the first time.
I copied install.php to the server, set up the permissions for everybody to write in install.php, to open it, etc-...
But I cannot run it.
How to do that using 1. internet explorer 2. mozilla?
I tried to do it just by clicking on file, by writing the path to it in the addresss line of the browser, but there was no result.
Please help as soon as possible,
looking forwad to the respond.

Hello Solnyshko,

that should do it, double check if there are no typos. If you're using a unix/linux server, be aware that it is case sensitive.

oh sorry!
Of course it done that, I made a mistake the first time.
Thank you very much for your respond.
However, I got another difficulties.
I sep up absolutly all permissions for all directories in my account: to read, to write, to execute...
However, at when I rang install.php and click "next" I got a message:

Server Root
The path on the server where the browseable files of the forum (*.php) will be stored. open_basedir limitation "/usr/local/apache2/vhosts/" prevents the install script from writing to "/var/data/vhosts/solnyshko/board/forum/". Please ensure that the specified directory is inside the directories listed in the open_basedir directive

Forum Data Root
The path on the server where the NON-browseable files of the forum will be stored.
Forum WWW Root
This is the URL of your forum, and should point to the forum's front page. This is also the URL people will need to use to get to your forum.

-I checked it!
What should I do? I have absolutely no idea.

This means that your PHP is configured in such a way that you can only write to files inside the /usr/local/apache2/vhosts directory. So that's where you must install the forum.
