Last night I ran the "Forum Consistency" routine and as it usually does when it finished there is a recommendation to click here for SQL check. So I click for the check and I've been unable to get anything to work since. Some of the errors are:

(I'm using version 2.6.12 by the way)

$DISABLED_REASON = "Undergoing maintenance, please come back later."; $FUD_OPT_1 = 1670821027;
Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/httpd/vhosts/chfweb.net/httpdocs/index.php on line 70

Warning: mysql_error(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/httpd/vhosts/chfweb.net/httpdocs/index.php on line 70

Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/httpd/vhosts/chfweb.net/httpdocs/index.php on line 70

Fatal error: SQL Error has occurred, please contact the administrator of the forum and have them review the forum's SQL query log in /home/httpd/vhosts/chfweb.net/httpdocs/index.php on line 58

I've tried restarting MySql but nothing seems to work. I do have other sites on the same server that are working fine so I'm thinking it has something to do with my database. If you can help me I would appreciate it!

Here is another error that occurred in addition to the other that I posted:

$DISABLED_REASON = "Undergoing maintenance, please come back later."; $FUD_OPT_1 = 1670821027;
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: fud_use() in /home/httpd/vhosts/chfweb.net/httpdocs/adm/consist.php on line 24

Does anyone have a solution that will get the site back up?

Thanks!
William

Sounds like GLOBALS.php is not being properly parsed. Make sure you GLOBALS.php starts with <?php

It appears that GLOBALS.php has been wiped out. All but this:

$DISABLED REASON ="Undergoing maintenance please come back later".
$FUD_OPT_1 =1670821027

So is there anything to do that will recover?

Thank you so much for your answer!

One more error that may help in diagosing this problem:

$DISABLED_REASON = "Undergoing maintenance, please come back later."; $FUD_OPT_1 = 1670821027;
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: fud_use() in /home/httpd/vhosts/chfweb.net/httpdocs/adm/admlock.php on line 14

I also remembers something about a "FILE_LOCK" somewhere.

Can anyone help me, I know I must sound like an idiot but I'll let you in on a secret I not only sound like one I am-- I've got a few tuffs of hair left but its going fast!

You can can re-create this file by downloading a fresh GLOBALS.php from CVS and editing it to contain all the relavent settings for your install.

Great! It worked!

I was worried that there might have been a problem with the database as a result but it was fine.

Thank you for your time and for such a great bbs!
