I have noticed that when I go to my Forum I'm not displayed as online until I browse some pages. It is evident with some users that have the "light on" icon on their posts but are not listed in the bottom of the main page. When I go to "What people is doing" page, more users are displayed.
I don't think they are invisible, but the page says that there are 3 users online, 0 guests and 0 invisible users

The online user list is cached, you can control the cache age (default 10 mins) from the admin control panel.
