The read indicator bug was fixed in CVS, the patch can be found here:
http://cvs.prohost.org/c/index.cgi/FUDforum/chngview?cn=7591

As far as the charatcer set issue, have you tried to replicate it in any other browser? This seems like a browser to bug to me, rather then a forum issue.

Tested under Mac OS X in:

  • Camino 1.0.1
  • Firefox 1.5.0.2
  • Netscape 7.2
  • Opera 8.54
  • Opera 9.00 Beta

Problem exists in all browsers.

Oh, and cursor position is ignored when inserting lists in Safari: the list is placed at the end of the message regardless to cursor position.

This forum is not yet patched, it will be patched when RC2 is released. I've also made a patch that fixes list addition in Safari and insertion of emiticons from the "list all smilies" list.

As far as the charset problem is concerned, I still need to look into it.

I can not walk through messages tree in Maxthon:
String:124
Symbol:3
Code:0
Error:Unknown execution error

Plain IE 6.0.2900.2180 under Windows XP - same thing. Possibly some blocking systems are working, need to test on another machines...

Charset problem appears under Windows too. Tested in Firefox 1.0.4, Netscape 7.2, Opera 8.5 under Windows XP. Can not test in IE because of JS error.

JS errors appear on IE 5 under Windows 98, IE 4 under Windows 95. Nothing happens on click in Netscape 4.8 under Windows 95.

Crarset error appear in Mozilla under Debian Linux.

Not tested under OS/2, Solaris, Be OS, QNX... but if you want to... Wink

I think the problem is in that JavaScript use UTF-8 encoding to handle strings.
