Hi,

after some installation issues on Win2K, I got my Egroupware with Fudforum running on fedora 2 linux.
All the apps have been installed. When i try to work with the FudForum I get the message: No source for admincp.tmpl in my webbrowser, and that's it.

Can anyone explain me what this means and what i should do to work with the forum?

thanks!
Daan

Egroupware indicates that the Fudforum is installed, and when I check the mysql database it seems to create all the appropriate tables. When removing the fudforum(as part of Egroupware), it also removes all the tables from the mysql db (only the fud_* db's).
When installed, an admin user is clicking on the fudforum button and gets this message, after which nothing happens, only the mentioned error is shown in the webbrowser. So it does not seem to work, no.
thanks
Daan

I cannot seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I removed the fudorum from the Egroupware installation, removed the fudforum folders as well from the /www/html/egroupware folder and replaced it with a fresh fudforum folder (from the Egroupware suite).
The security settings are set to 774 where Apache is the owner and group nobody.
When initialising another try, I now get the message: "DMSG_CUSTOM_TAGS" inside "drawpmsg.inc.t"

I found this error on this forum: http://fudforum.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=21131&#msg_21131
which indicates that a replacement of the compiler.inc would fix this.
I replaced it with the compiler.inc with the one which is offered in message: http://fudforum.org/forum/index.php?t=msg&goto=17764&#msg_17764

This resulted in the error: No source for admincp.tmpl

So I'm back to where I started.
Using: Fedora 2, PHP 4.3.10, Apache 2.0.51, Mysql 4.0.23

Please help
thanks
Daan

You need to delete the empty files admincp.tmpl and curtime.tmpl. All should then be OK.

I have the same problem here, "No source for admincp.tmpl" when trying to enter the forum. I have several times uninstalled and deleted the fudforum completely and the re-installed it again.

Strange enough, I have another site where the fudforum is up and running. I just can not find the difference between these two.

Hello,

I can not get the fudforum running - at all. What might be the problem? I have replaced ths fudforum-folder multiple times with new one and this doesn't help.

I don't know yet what is our service provider running and what is the version on MySQL.

I get the following erroe message:

"Fatal error: SQL Error has occurred, please contact the administrator of the forum and have them review the forum's SQL query log in *******/fudforum/3814588639/index.php on line 71"

Can anybody assist me so that I could locate the problem? Please!

I presume you are running FUDforum within eGW?

Check sql_errors file inside the errors/ directory for the error information.

Yes, I am running eGroupware 1.2. with latest contrib pack.

I am running the web browser with Mac OSX 10.4.6.

I found the errors file, when I open it in Mac with Textedit or TextWrangler it opens like this: (there is only the last error)

It appears to be failing to create a session due to a missing user id, did you have any eGW users when the forum was created? Also, what auth method are using for eGW?

Yes, I had. Now there is handul of users and I have re-installed the forum several times when trying to make it work. Naturally I was the first user as an administrator.

Also, what auth method are using for eGW?

I am using MySQL. Should it be another?

Yep. If the table you mean is "phpgw_fud_users" there is one user. id=1, login=Anonymous, alias=Anonymous, passwd, name=Anonymous, email=dev@null, location=NULL, interest=NULL, occupation=NULL, avatar=0, avarar_loc=NULL, icq=NULL.... etc.

That's the problem, there should be 1 user for every eGW user you have. Can you try to re-install (remove and re-enable) FUDforum in EGW?

No, I can not - from the eGW user interface. If I try to activate the fudforum application I get the previously mentioned error message. From the admin interface (applications) I can and I did. After uninstall I tried to activate the Fudforum thru userinterface. I got an error message:
"Warning: copy(/...../fudforum/3814588639/sql/mysql/db.inc) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /...../fudforum/3814588639/include/compiler.inc on line 506
No source for admincp.tmpl"

I am poking the eGW database with Cocoa MySQL. I could build the users into the database row by row (there is something like 20 users) is it possible? Obviously the parameters and id's are interconnented. If only there would be a way to make a table at once.

This folder is not in the public side of the webserver docroot.

If you mean the GLOBALS.php which is at egroupware/fudforum/setup/base/include/ there are absolutely no paths defined in the the file. Confused

$INCLUDE = "";
$WWW_ROOT = "";
$WWW_ROOT_DISK = "";
$DATA_DIR = "";
$ERROR_PATH = "";
$MSG_STORE_DIR = "";
$TMP = "";
$FILE_STORE = "";
$FORUM_SETTINGS_PATH = "";

I have tried to install and reinstall the fudforum solution in eGW multiple times via eGW's application manager. The fudforum module inside the eGroupWare folder has been transfered to the server by two different ways, either directly with ftp or as packed file via ssh and after that unzipped via ssh. After that, it has been activated in the applications admin side.

All the paths begin with "/var/www/customers/" and end with a slash. These are outside the webserver docroot.

In the "GLOBALS.php", which is outside the webserver docroot is the following:

$INCLUDE=" /var/www/customers/tmsatlfi/_atl_egroupware/_atl_files/fudforum/3814588639/ include/ ";
$WWW_ROOT="/_atl/RD/fudforum/3814588639/";
